Out Here the Geek is King

Verse
I used to walk those halls like a ghost in chains
Invisible to the crowd, lost in my own brain
While the cool kids laughed, I wrote lines in my book
Dreaming of a world where they’d all take a second look

I had a locker full of sketches, a head full of dreams
But I never had the guts to break into their scene
Now I’m out in the world, and I’ve got my say
Turns out the geeks are the ones who have their way

Chorus
Out here the geek is king
We write the codes, we run the rings
We make the music, we shape the scene
It’s a whole new world for the ones unseen
Out here the geek is king
And the tables turned, yeah, it’s a beautiful thing
It’s not where you start, but the heart you bring
Out here the geek is king

Verse
They used to roll their eyes when I answered in class
Now they’re asking for a job, begging for a pass
Life after high school is a sweet twist of fate
Where the underdogs rise, and the jocks come late

And then you showed up, from a town nearby
With a comic-book shirt and a spark in your eye
I knew in that moment, life had a new spin
We’re a team now, and together we win

Bridge
No prom night dances, no letterman jacket
But I’ve got a future, and I’ve got the racket
Out in the real world, I’ve got the mic
It’s a revolution fueled by brains and drive

And when they call us strange, I just laugh it away
I’ve got a life, a love, and a voice to play
We built this city from the outcast’s dream
And now the geeks are kings of everything

Outro (spoken)
So here’s to the misfits, the oddballs, the freaks
The ones who weren’t afraid to be unique
They called us losers, they called us fools
But out here, my friend, we make the rules

Out here the geek is king
And life’s not about the crown—it’s about the sting
